Commercial Suicide, Boxer’s Revenge, Drink’in the Sunbelt
Conceived in the fire of a homebrewer’s heart, Jester King was birthed by brothers Jeff Stuffings and Michael Steffing in the early fall of 2010 amongst the hills in Southwest Austin. Ambitious from the start, the brothers made their commercial debut with a session beer – an oak aged English mild – wearing the moniker “Commercial Suicide.” It was anything but. They followed this shortly with the wildly popular Rye IPA “Wytchmaker,” a beer that bars could rarely keep on tap. Then with a one-two-punch they released their first brewery one-offs, the Whiskey Barrel Aged Commercial Suicide and Black Metal Imperial Stout to resounding applause. The brothers could not fail. Most recently, they teamed up with Danish brewer, Mikkeller to brew Drink’in the Sunbelt. Jester King has challenged conventional beer thinking while raising the bar high for the local Austin palate.
