Alright. We’re calling this the “Wheat Beer Does Not Exist” episode due to the explosive discussion we got into with the Live Oak guys regarding the style.
This is a fun one to listen in on as we pick the Live Oak guys’ brain about the wheat beer style. Opinions fly, facts don’t get checked, explicit rated statements are made, feelings are hurt, PC disclaimers are thrown out, apologies are made and so is history in this one.
I loved this one so much, I couldn’t help but capture some of my favorite quotable moments. Hopefully they’ll whet yr earbuds to listen in.
“Those words are pointless”
“You’re a living beer”
“Stop aborting wheat beers”
“If you had a chance to write the bible, they wrote the bible!”
“He’s cackling everybody!”
“You’re a fad around recipe formulation”
“We don’t see color in the Austin Beer Guide, all IPAs look the same to us”
“Percentage might still be an interesting question?”
“Hey Bryan, I’m sorry for putting you on the spot earlier”
“Let that be known!”
“I approve of brewing spices”
“Anybody have any parting thoughts on wheat beers? Whether they exist or don’t exist?”
“There’s a lot of pointing going on”
Again, we’re joined by Chris Cherry and Nico Tonks of Live Oak and the always funny Bryan Gutmann.
Brought to you by Live Oak Brewing Co, the Honey Badger of Austin Breweries!
Enjoy!
